The Walschaerts Valve Gear is a staple of many steam trains, providing variable steam delivery to improve efficiency at any point in a train's journey.

This model of the revolutionary steam train system features many realistic details and functions:

• Moving piston, complete with see-through cylinder walls for display purposes.

• Moving valve, also with see-through walls to further enhance the look.

• Functioning expansion link, providing the engine with accurate moving parts and a reversing function.
